Traps won't always be placed in plain sight; in fact, a good Trapper will strategically place them where you can't see them. Therefore, it's a great idea to look in bushes and other dark spots for traps where The Trapper may have hidden them.

You might expect to see traps under windows, around pallets, and at vault locations; while some Trappers strategically place traps in these locations to zone survivors out of loops, the best Trapper players put their traps in less obvious spots.

Disarm Traps When You See Them

If you spot a trap, you should immediately disarm it to prevent you or other survivors from falling into it later on. There are almost no situations in which you should not disarm a trap in front of you unless you are actively in a chase.
