Is Dead By Daylight Free?

If you've had your eye on Dead by Daylight for a while and have been wondering if you should play it, you might be wondering if it's free or if it will cost you some of your precious money. No matter what platform you're playing on, the answer is actually the same.

Is Dead By Daylight Free?

Unfortunately, no, Dead by Daylight is not free on any platform. Whether you are on Steam, Epic Games, Xbox, PlayStation, or another platform, you will need to pay for Dead by Daylight in one way or another.

That said, Dead by Daylight does come free with an Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus subscription. If you play the game for free using one of these subscriptions, you will still need to pay for any extra DLCs that do not come with the base game.

Dead By Daylight Free Weekend Events

Dead by Daylight isn't usually free to play. That said, developers sometimes make the game free for all players during special events to draw new players to the game. For example, for Halloween 2022, Dead by Daylight hosted a free weekend during which anyone could log in and enjoy the game without paying. These events usually last 2-3 days.

When Is The Next Dead By Daylight Free Weekend?

Behaviour Interactive has yet to announce the official dates of the next Dead by Daylight free weekend. Free weekends usually take place during events - such as the 2022 Halloween Event free weekend - so stay tuned with Dead by Daylight news throughout the next few months if you're looking for an opportunity to try the game for free.
