New Dead By Daylight Nicolas Cage Trailer Showcases His Amazing Perks

Nicolas Cage might just be Dead by Daylight's most anticipated yet least expected survivor to join the roster, and the game's developers have treated players to a new trailer with a focus on Cage before his release next week. The new narrated trailer shows survivor Nicolas Cage using his own perks against The Trapper, Dead by Daylight's first and perhaps most iconic original killer.

Like all other survivors in the game that aren't legendary skins, Cage comes with three perks. Cage's perks include Plot Twist, Dramaturgy, and Scene Partner. These perks add a new style of gameplay to Dead by Daylight for survivors, inviting them to deceive killers and take advantage of unfortunate situations.

Nicolas Cage is coming to Dead by Daylight on 25 July 2023. Before then, players got to see Cage talk about the upcoming collaboration at the Summer Game Fest 2023. The collaboration was announced during Dead by Daylight's 7th anniversary live stream, alongside the Year 8 Roadmap and a series of other upcoming collaborations, such as Slipknot and Iron Maiden.

Cage is voiced by himself and comes with a whopping 10 minutes of voice lines, with each equally hilarious and clever quip paying homage to Cage's past roles and personality. Prior to his release, players could try out Nicolas Cage in Dead by Daylight's Steam Public Test Build.

It's definitely an interesting change to see a real actor joining Dead by Daylight, so it's left us curious about what actors and actresses might potentially join the game in the future. Also, considering he's the first survivor to have in-game voice lines aside from the brand-new Gabriel Soma from Chapter 28, his introduction to the game could also open the door for survivors like Ash Williams to get their own in-game voice lines.

Given that Nicolas Cage is in Dead by Daylight, it's also possible that we could see him in the Dead by Daylight movie, either as a cameo or in a major role.
