The PTB for Chapter 31 starts later today, on 20 February 2024.

How To Play The Public Test Build (PTB) In Dead by Daylight

If you want to access the Dead by Daylight PTB for yourself, you'll need to have Dead by Daylight on Steam. Note that you can only connect to the PTB while it is live; if there is no active PTB, you will only be able to play the live version of the game.

If you have Steam and the PTB is currently ongoing, here's how to access it:

  1. Open Steam.
  2. Open your Library.
  3. Find Dead by Daylight in your Library and right-click the game.
  4. Select Properties.
  5. Select Betas.
  6. From the dropdown menu, select what is likely the only option (Public Tests).
  7. Close the window.

Now that you've selected the PTB, it will begin downloading. Once it's downloaded, you can open up the game to play Dead by Daylight on the PTB. To switch back to the live build, just go back into the game's Properties and select 'none' instead of the PTB.
