Terrifying DBD Teaser Suggests Chapter 31 Might Be The Scariest Yet

Dead by Daylight's newest teaser video for the upcoming Chapter 31 killer shows what may be some of the game's scariest ever content, giving viewers a peek at the eerie-looking killer. In the past week, DBD has released a series of teasers for this upcoming chapter, all in an analog horror/found footage style - though this new clip is definitely the most terrifying of all of them.

The video features a man in a tent, who nervously says, "I don't know if you can hear it..." It turns out we can hear "it" indeed, as we begin to hear rustling near the tent. The man's breathing quickens, and something outside begins to slowly unzip the tent as it growls and makes strange noises. Finally, it successfully unzips the tent and bursts inside, attacking the videographer. We get a quick glimpse at the killer themselves, and it's nothing short of terrifying, with a wide open, mutilated mouth and blood.

Even with a glimpse of the killer, it's unclear as to who - or what - they are. Some speculate that the new killer could be a cryptid of some sort; that seems pretty likely, based on the leaks we've seen thus far. Others speculated that the killer could be a Skinwalker, but Dead by Daylight confirmed that this isn't the case.

"We wanted to confirm that nothing regarding indigenous culture or the names we've seen being discussed have been incorporated into our upcoming Killer character and their lore," the Dead by Daylight team wrote on Twitter in response to fans' concerns.
