Destiny 2 Season Of The Plunder - Everything You Need To Know

Destiny 2 Season 18, aka, Season of the Plunder, is now live across all platforms. During the Destiny 2 showcase, Bungie revealed all the necessary details regarding this new season, including its story, seasonal activities, seasonal weapons and armor, a new raid, and more.

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder Story

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder focuses on Eramis the Eliksni, who finally breaks free from the icy clutches of the Stasis power at the end of Beyond Light expansion.

Now back from the dead, Eramis is recruiting old pirate lords of Eliksni legends to recover lost relics that hold great power. It's your job to gather your crew and stop her again in what is a pirate-themed adventure.

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder Activities

Unlike previous Destiny 2 seasons, Season of the Plunder adds three activities for you to partake in. First up is the new six-player activity called  Ketchcrash, in which you go head-to-head with Eramis and her pirate crew.

Next, is the three-player activity called Expedition, in which you assemble treasure maps, dig for treasure, and get it back to your ship while fighting off Eramis' pirate crew members.

Last but not least is the weekly mission for Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder called Pirate Hideouts, in which you will invade pirate hideouts to battle Eramis' pirate lords and loot their hidden powerful relics.

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder Weapons

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder adds a brand new Exotic Fusion Rifle called Delicate Tomb, that you can instantly unlock by purchasing the season pass.

As with every new Destiny 2 season, Season of the Plunder adds a new pool of Seasonal weapons. This includes a new Shotgun, Automatic Rifle, SMG, Side Arm, Fusion Rifle, and a Legendary Machine Gun.

Two of the new Seasonal weapons - Planck's Stride Machine Gun and Brigand's Law Side Arm - are also part of the free season pass. We will have another guide up soon for a more detailed breakdown of every new Season of the Plunder weapon.

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder Armor

Season of the Plunder adds pirate-themed armor pieces for you to unlock and fulfill your pirate fantasies. The Starfarer Univeral Ornaments Set is part of the premium battle pass.

The Seasonal Armor set is called Ketchkiller, and you can unlock various armor pieces by leveling up the season pass, completing seasonal activities, and focusing armor for those god rolls in the Helm.

Destiny 2 King's Fall Raid

The Taken King is back in this reprised King's Fall Raid coming to Destiny 2 in Season of the Plunder. The end game free-for-all PvE activity goes live on 26th August 2022.
