The Solstice 2023 event is live in Destiny 2, and you’ll want to find out how to acquire Silver Leaves, Silver Ash, and Kindling in the game. As always, there are some fresh activities and some changes to Bonfire Bash, but the core process is the same. You’ll need to collect stuff and trade it for other items to upgrade your Sunlit Armor.

With that said, here are the best ways to farm Silver Leaves, Silver Ash, and Kindling in Destiny 2 Solstice 2023 event.

How to Farm Silver Leaves in Destiny 2

Silver Leaves are essential for upgrading your Sunlit Armor, as they can be converted to Silver Ash and Kindling. You can get them by doing various activities in the game with at least one piece of Sunlit Armor equipped. The only exception is Patrols, which don’t give any Leaves.

The amount of Leaves you get depends on your activity type. We found that core playlist activities (Vanguard Ops, Gambit, and Crucible) were the best, as they gave five Leaves each time, no matter how hard or long they were.

Other activities, such as Public Events, Salvage, Terminal Overload on Neptune, and more, gave three or four Leaves each time, which was decent but not optimal. We recommend playing your favorite core playlist activity for the fastest and most efficient way to farm Silver Leaves. Crucible is the quickest, as you get Leaves regardless of the match duration.

How to Farm Silver Ash in Destiny 2

Farming Silver Ash is a bit more difficult than farming Silver Leaves, as it requires you to participate in the Bonfire Bash event in the EAZ. To access this event, you need to have at least one piece of Sunlit Armor equipped and some Silver Leaves in your inventory. You can launch the event from the Tower or from the Director.

The Bonfire Bash is a cooperative activity where you and five other players have to take down enemies in a designated area until you kindle the bonfire. The enemies will drop orbs of light that you can collect to stoke the fire and increase its intensity. The higher the intensity, the more Silver Ash you will get from burning your Silver Leaves.

You can burn up to 50 Silver Leaves per Bonfire Bash completion, but you will only get one unit of Ash per piece of Sunlit Armor equipped. This means that if you want to get the maximum amount of Ash (50) per run, you need to wear all five pieces of Sunlit Armor. However, this also means that you will have lower stats and less flexibility in your build.

If you don’t have all five pieces of Sunlit Armor yet, don’t worry. You can still get some Ash by wearing one or more pieces of Sunlit Armor and completing the Bonfire Bash. You will just get less Ash per run (one to four units). You can also use Kindling to upgrade your Sunlit Armor and unlock more pieces.

How to Farm Kindling in Destiny 2

Farming Kindling is the most straightforward but also the most time-consuming part of Solstice of Heroes 2023. You can only get Kindling by completing Solstice Event Challenges, a set of tasks that require you to do various activities while wearing Sunlit Armor.

You can view the Solstice Event Challenges by opening your Quests tab and selecting the Solstice of Heroes 2023 quest. There are ten challenges in total, and each one rewards you with a certain amount of Kindling. The challenges are:

  • Solstice of Heroes: Light Up the Night - Complete the Bonfire Bash activity while wearing Sunlit Armor (10 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Strike a Pose - Complete Strikes while wearing Sunlit Armor (10 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Gambit Gambler - Complete Gambit matches while wearing Sunlit Armor (10 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Crucible Competitor - Complete Crucible matches while wearing Sunlit Armor (10 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Public Service - Complete Public Events while wearing Sunlit Armor (10 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Raid Runner - Complete Raids while wearing Sunlit Armor (20 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Dungeon Diver - Complete Dungeons while wearing Sunlit Armor (20 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Seasonal Specialist - Complete seasonal activities while wearing Sunlit Armor (20 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Master of All - Complete Master difficulty activities while wearing Sunlit Armor (30 Kindling)
  • Solstice of Heroes: Solstice Champion - Complete all other Solstice Event Challenges (50 Kindling)

You can complete these challenges in any order and at your own pace, but you need to complete them all to get the maximum amount of Kindling (200). You can also track your progress by hovering over the challenge icons in the quest tab.

Once you have enough Silver Leaves, Silver Ash, and Kindling, you can use them to upgrade and customize your Sunlit Armor. To do that, you need to visit Eva Levante in the Tower and interact with her Solstice Forge.

So there you have it. That's everything you need to know about farming these essential materials for this event.
