Destiny 2 Into the Light will launch before The Final Shape, and here's what it will bring.

Destiny 2 The Final Shape expansion is nearing its release; however, before its launch, Bungie will release a brand new update called Into The Light. It will introduce fresh content into the game, and here's everything we know about it.

March 20 Update: Bungie has officially given us details about Destiny 2 Into The Light in the developer livestream.

The Destiny 2 Into the Light update is set to release in April 2024 across all platforms. However, Bungie has not yet announced an exact date for its release. Nonetheless, it's anticipated to coincide with the weekly reset on a Tuesday.

Will Destiny 2 Into The Light Be Free?

Yes, Destiny 2 Into the Light will be free for all players, as confirmed by Bungie via an official blog post.

Destiny 2 Into the Light will "prepare players for their Guardian’s journey into the Traveler". Additionally, three new PvP maps will be added to Destiny 2 Into the Light, located in Europa, Neomuna, and Terraformed Pyramid. These maps will be similar in size to Javelin-4.

Moreover, Destiny 2 Into the Light will not only cater to seasoned players but also newcomers, ensuring an equally enjoyable experience for all, according to Bungie.

When Will Destiny 2 Into the Light End?

Destiny 2 Into the Light will end on June 4, coinciding with the launch of The Final Shape expansion.
