Season 23 will not mark the launch of another major expansion for Destiny 2, so the content of what will be brought in is a bit more limited. But there are some confirmed changes for Destiny 2 coming in Season 23. For example, Bungie plans to remove Legendary Shards in Season 23. Glimmer, Exotic Cipher, and Spoils of Conquest cost will remain the same.

There is also going to be no exchange for the Legendary Shards, either. So, hoarding them for a new currency is a no-go. The goal here is to make the game more approachable for new and returning players. In exchange, the drop rates for other items, such as Glimmer, will actually increase when Season 23 eventually launches.
