Destiny 2 Undercurrent Grenade Launcher God Roll & How To Get

Destiny 2 Season of the Wish has introduced plenty of unique and powerful weapons, such as the Wish-Keeper exotic bow, but one weapon that has taken everyone by surprise and is making a lot of noise is a brand new Arc Wave Frame Grenade Launcher named Undercurrent. 

What makes Undercurrent a must-have weapon in Destiny 2 is that it can roll with the Voltshot perk, which is easily one of the most powerful PvE perks in the game's current meta. Combine this with its two origin traits as well as other column perks, and Undercurrent becomes exceptionally powerful.

In this guide, we explain how to get the Undercurrent Grenade Launcher in Destiny 2 alongside the perk combinations for its god roll. 

How To Acquire The Undercurrent Grenade Launcher In Destiny 2

You can get the Undercurrent Grenade Launcher in Destiny 2 by running Nightfall Strikes in week 4 of Season of the Wish. We don't know when it will be part of the rotation again, so we recommend farming it quickly. You can also get the Adept version of the Undercurrent from running Grandmaster Nightfalls. 

Since it's a random drop, it may take a few or several turns to get the Undercurrent Grenade Launcher. Once you have acquired the weapon once, you can purchase subsequent rolls from Commander Zavala in the Tower for 5 Vanguard Engrams.

• Barrel: Countermass
• Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
• Perk 1: Demolitionist / Ambitious Assassin
• Perk 2: Voltshot
• Masterwork: Reload Speed
• Origin Trait 1: Stunning Recovery
• Origin Trait 2: Vanguard's Vindication

The best thing about this god roll is the Voltshot perk, which, upon reloading the weapon, causes it to jolt, thus inflicting chain lightning on nearby enemies. If you have used Brigand's Law Sidearm or the Ikelos 1.3 SMG with Volt, you already know it's great for clearing ads. 

In the case of Undercurrent, you can spam Voltshot, as you will be reloading after every shot. Voltshot goes well with Demolitionist since it regenerates your grenade ability. Furthermore, using your grenade will reload the Undercurrent, which makes it much more convenient to use. If you combine this with Monte Carlo and its new catalyst, you will regenerate grenade energy even more quickly. 

Lastly, Masterwork and High-Velocity Rounds will increase your Reload Speed, whereas Smart Drift Control will improve your Recoil, both of which make Undercurrent more efficient.
