How To Change Character Appearance in Diablo 4

As you play through Diablo 4, you might want to change your character's appearance at some point; as you level up and get new attire or your tastes just change, you'll more than likely want to make some tweaks. For example, you might want to change your character's hairstyle or add some makeup. No matter what changes you're hoping to make, it's thankfully not challenging to change your character's appearance in this game.

From how to change your hairstyle to how to add jewelry and other accessories, here's how to change your characters' looks in Diablo 4.

How To Change Character Appearance in Diablo 4

To change your appearance in Diablo 4, all you'll need to do is find a wardrobe, which you can see on your map. Approach the wardrobe before selecting 'Appearance.' From here, you'll be able to access the character customization menu, which allows you to edit many different aspects of your character. Just like your traditional Diablo transmog system that most long-time players will no doubt be familiar with.

For example, you can change their hairstyle, add makeup and jewelry or markings, and more. Note that there are some things you can't change from this menu, like your character's gender. Once you're done, you can save your changes and your character's appearance will immediately reflect your edits.

If you're hoping for some more drastic character changes - such as if you want to change your character's gender - you can't do it in the character appearance menu, as we mentioned, so you'll need to make an entirely new character. Thankfully, though, your character's gender doesn't affect their stats.

While we'd love to be able to change more aspects of our characters at wardrobes, this isn't something that's possible right now, though it could be coming to the game in the future in one of the upcoming Diablo 4 updates. After all, the game was just released, so it's likely that there are a lot more quality-of-life updates, tweaks, and even DLCs in store that might include this feature and other new ones.

It's as simple as that to change your character's appearance in Diablo 4. While there are some things you can't change after initially creating your character, Blizzard Entertainment made it extremely easy to make most changes to your character.
