Diablo Immortal PC open beta - How to join, release date and more

Blizzard Entertainment surprised Diablo fans on 25th April 2022 with an early-than-expected release date for Diablo Immortal and the PC version with full cross-play and cross-progression support. Some fans, however, might be a bit confused about the Diablo Immortal PC open beta, and how this coincides with the full launch on mobile.

The game's mobile version is set to fully launch on 2nd June 2022, earlier than initial leaks expected.

We are happy to inform our readers that Diablo Immortal's PC open beta will also release on 2nd June 2022.

Diablo Immortal full release on PC

While Blizzard has pinpointed the open beta release date for PC as 2nd June 2022, there is no indication when the game will move from beta to a full release on PC.

This, however, doesn't mean the PC version will lack any content that is available at launch on the mobile version. Instead, it is likely named an "open beta" due to PC specific features and controls still needing some public testing.

Blizzard explains: "During the PC Open Beta period, we will continue to collect player feedback, make changes, and fine-tune Immortal for PC until we feel it delivers a finalized experience for all courageous adventurers."

How to join Diablo Immortal PC open beta

The Diablo Immortal PC open beta will take place via the Battle.net launcher. This means you need a Battle.net account to join the open beta.

To join, simply head on over to the game's Battle.net page and simply sign up. This is an open beta, which means all PC gamers will be able to join in on Diablo Immortal's demon-slaying action on 2nd June 2022.

Lastly, players can also use their Battle.net balance for in-game purchases!

Does Diablo Immortal beta progress carry over?

Since Diablo Immortal goes into open beta on PC on 2nd June, some players might be wondering if progress will carry over when it eventually releases in full.

Well, the good news is that yes, progress will carry over from the Diablo Immortal PC open beta to the full release. There's also cross-progression with mobile, meaning you can play on your PC, then head out and play on mobile, keeping your progress intact.

The Diablo Immortal open beta PC system requirements are quite agreeable, and since it is essentially a mobile port, this was expected.
