Diablo Immortal release date leaked via Apple App Store

Back in 2018 at BlizzCon, there was an initially poor reception when Blizzard Entertainment announced Diablo Immortal to the word, thanks to that infamous "don't you guys have phones?" comment. It's 2022 now, and yes, we have phones...phones eager to play Diablo Immortal. Unfortunately, we can't mark our calendar yet, as no official Diablo Immortal release date has been revealed.

Development on Diablo Immortal has powered ahead, moving from alpha to beta. With the Diablo Immortal closed beta phase open for a few regions right now, and hype building, it appears the official release date might have leaked!

Diablo Immortal's official release date?

Most gamers expected Diablo Immortal to release sometime in 2022, and now, a leak might have revealed an earlier-than-expected release date.

Getting right to the point, an official Apple App Store page for Diablo Immortal (likely accidentally) revealed the release date for Blizzard's upcoming mobile ARPG as 30th June 2022.

While the date has been removed, a screenshot was captured and uploaded to Reddit.

It is also important to note the Apple App Store said "expected" and that word is this is a placeholder date.

Even so, the game's official Twitter account, on the same day, tweeted "Face Hell in style. Pre-register today to unlock exclusive cosmetics at launch" while announcing a pre-registration goal (30 million) and subsequent rewards in the form of a Horadrim Cosmetic Set.

If this Diablo Immortal release date leak turns out to be accurate, this puts the game only two months away from launch following the leak. Therefore, we can likely expect to hear official news soon.

It is also worth noting the pre-registration trailer released on 28th March 2022 says "coming soon".

Remember to please take this release date for Diablo Immortal with a grain of salt until such time that Blizzard confirms it. This could, after all, just be a placeholder date, or it could mean Diablo Immortal will fully launch on 30th June 2022.
