Disco Elysium: How to Fast Travel

With the advent of 2021’s Disco Elysium: The Final Cut release to both PC and consoles, the original, highly-lauded Bafta award-winning game was updated to include a Fast Travel mechanic, nearly full and stellar voice acting for the game’s hefty character dialogue, and plenty of quality of life adjustments. 

The district of Martinaise is a large one, and plenty of players can get tired of trudging around on foot, so the introduction of fast travel was a majorly welcome addition, if not a bit hard to find.

Those green snakeskin shoes are bound to be rough on your cop’s feet after a while, so here’s how to Fast Travel in Disco Elysium.

How Do You Fast Travel In Disco Elysium?

There is! But it’s not as simple as hitting your ‘M’ key and clicking your destination, you’ll first need to source a Map item, which will open up the option of quick travel around Martinaise.

Where To Find The Map

To find the Map and unlock fast travel in Disco Elysium, do the following:

1. Head to the bookstore, just west of the Whirling-in-Rags hostel - You’ll see Annette, the daughter of the shop’s proprietress outside. 

2. Once inside, head right upstairs and interact with the multiple maps on the wall in one of the shelving alcoves.

3. Ask Plaisance, the shopkeeper, if she’ll sell the map to you.

4. Once she’s offered, you can then opt to steal with a challenging Interfacing check or simply pay 0.90 Reál for the map.

How To Fast Travel With The Map

With your new map in hand, you’ll now be able to Fast Travel across three different waypoints within Martinaise.

The three available fast travel points in Disco Elysium are:

• Martinaise Waterfront

• Fisherman Shacks

• Church

The tricky thing is realizing that you’ll need to be specifically standing at (or near) one of these three points on the artistic map to be able to choose another destination.

To fast travel:

1. Stand at one of the waypoints listed and open your map.

2. Choose the “Travel Here” option that appears above the alternative locations.
