Disco Elysium: How to Solve the Egg Head Puzzle

Disco Elysium is the type of thought-provoking media that will have players asking real, hard-hitting questions, such as how should they solve the puzzle of merely communicating with an energetic rave DJ named Egg Head. The “Solve the Egg Head Puzzle” task is one of the stranger requests the game will ask of you, and will be necessary to gain the favor of some local ravers trying to start a nightclub in a church.

In this guide, if you don’t already know where to look, we’ll help you locate Egg Head and then crack the code of his rave speech to help reach a deeper connection with him.

Where to Find Egg Head in Disco Elysium

Egg Head is only accessible on Day 3, after spending your first couple of daysgetting settled in East Martinaise. You’ll need to travel west, past the now traversable water lock over to Land’s End, where you’ll find a locked church and a nearby tent with some thumping music erupting from it. You’ll find Egg Head and his fellow ravers here, looking to gain access to the church for their nightclub founding aspirations.

Egg Head Puzzle Solution

You won’t need to go trudging around Martinaise to find any specific item or expand any other dialogue trees apart from speaking to Egg Head directly. You’ll just need to simply choose the right answers in a long thread of silly responses to solve the puzzle. Here’s what you need to say:

1. Say nothing.

2. Still say nothing.

3. Say nothing.

4. Still say nothing.

5. Say nothing.

6. No, but seriously… I’m a little worried it isn’t.

7. (Any dialogue until the conversation ends.)

You’re not done at this point, so make sure you interact with Egg Head one more time and then choose the following responses:

1. Say nothing.

2. Still say nothing.

3. Say nothing.

4. Still say nothing.

5. Say nothing.

6. SO HARD CORE!

7. IT IS!

8. THE QUESTION IS, WHAT IS THE QUESTION?!

After appealing to his rave speech sensibilities, Egg Head will speak somewhat clearly for a moment, joining you in the moment while opening up some extra dialogue, and completing the task. Aside from the XP, there’s no real reward for completing this other than helping with the later task of “Help Soona with her Project” which involves ingratiating yourself with the ravers anyway and getting Egg Head’s help with setting up a cable she needs.
