BTS Pro Series playoffs - Teams, schedule, eliminations and how to watch

The Beyond the Summit (BTS) Pro Series group stage is now complete, with the final group stage match played in the early hours of 23rd April 2020. Now, the BTS Pro Series playoffs will commence.

Here's everything you need to know about the BTS Pro Series playoffs, including teams, schedule, matchups, group stage eliminations, and how to watch for all the Dota 2 esports fans out there.

About BTS Pro Series

The BTS Pro Series is hosted by Beyond the Summit in collaboration with Loot.bet and Monster Energy. There are two tournaments, both of which are played entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This online league features a Southeast Asia (SEA) tournament, as well as a South/North America tournament. They will be played on the same dates, but due to different time zones, matches won't overlap.

The total prize pool for BTS Pro Series is $100,000. This is split between the two tournaments, so SEA gets $50,000 and NA/SA gets $50,000. The prize pool distribution for the BTS Pro Series (per region) is as follows:

  • 1st place - $21,000
  • 2nd place - $11,000
  • 3rd place - $6,500
  • 4th place - $4,500
  • 5th to 6th place - $2,250
  • 7th to 8th place - $1,150

So far, two teams have been eliminated in each region, namely:

  • Furia Esports (NA/SA)
  • Beastcoast (NA/SA)
  • TI (SEA)
  • CR (SEA)

The teams eliminated from the tournament so far do not walk away empty-handed, as they each get $1,150 for their participation.

Six teams remain in each online regional tournament. In the group stage, Fnatic claimed the top spot, followed by Team Adroit, as we expected. Don't worry, Evil Geniuses fans, the team claimed third place and a spot in the playoffs, but the results were a bit unexpected.
