The third season of the OGA Dota PIT for the Europe/CIS region is set to bring Dota 2 esports fans a whole lot of action to watch. Here's everything you need to know about OGA Dota PIT Season 3, starting with the world-class teams competing in the tournament.

Teams

For OGA Dota PIT Season 3, six teams have been directly invited. Then, a closed qualifier also took place to determine the final two teams at the tournament.

The OGA Dota 2 PIT teams are:

  • OG - Direct invite
  • Team Nigma - Direct invite
  • Alliance - Direct invite
  • Team Liquid - Direct invite
  • VP.Prodigy - Direct invite
  • Team Secret - Direct invite
  • 5men - Qualified
  • Na'Vi - Qualified

5men and Na'Vi went through the closed qualifiers to make their way into the main tournament.

Prize pool

The OGA Dota PIT Season 3 has a total prize pool of $170,000.

The Prize Pool distribution is:

  • 1st place - $70,873
  • 2nd place - $36,822
  • 3rd place - $19,822
  • 4th place - $14,161
  • 5th & 6th place - $8,500
  • 7th & 8th place - $5,661

There's a whole lot for Dota 2 teams to fight for during the OGA Dota PIT Season 3.

 

Format

The OGA Dota PIT Season 3 will not feature a group stage. Instead, the teams have been seeded into the playoffs.

The OGA Dota PIT Season 3 playoffs will follow a double-elimination bracket, with all matches being best-of-three, with the exception of the grand finals which is a best-of-five.

The OGA Dota PIT Season 3 schedule sees the playoffs run from 23rd to 26th September.

Each day, the matches kick off at 13:00 CEST. The first day of matches as well as their expected start time can be viewed below.

  • Team Nigma vs Na'Vi - 13:00 CEST
  • VP.Prodigy vs Team Secret - 16:00 CEST
  • Team Liquid vs 5men - 19:00 CEST
  • OG vs Alliance - 22:00 CEST

Keep in mind this schedule for OGA Dota PIT Season 3 can change slightly, depending on how long matches last.
