The release of Dying Light 2 is finally upon us as Techland has followed up their 2015 release of Dying Light. The second title of the series follows a similar storyline tasking players with staying human above all else in the zombie-ridden world.

Among the popular draws of the title are the parkour and free run aspects providing so many possibilities of gameplay. Early looks at the title show dynamic movements that players will certainly look to explore.

Here's how to get parkour and combat points in Dying Light 2 as the sequel title is finally here.

Dying Light 2 - How to get parkour and combat points

As was the case in the first Dying Light, players will earn experience as they progress throughout the title's storyline. The experience is then broken up into two categories, Parkour and Combat.

Parkour points can be earned by simply playing the title and freerunning throughout the map. Special moves will earn more XP like wall-running, sliding, climbing, and jumping.

Combat points can be earned in any type of fight, whether it be a foe dead or alive. Additional XP can be earned by performing special moves like the vault kick, air kick, or dropkick.

Particular side quests can also unlock Parkour and Combat points, or both, so make sure to do a share of those as well.

Skill Points in Dying Light 2 - Parkour and Combat

When engaging in Parkour or Combat in Dying Light 2, players will begin to fill a gauge for each respective category. Once filled, players will be able to increase their Combat/Parkour Proficiency by one point.

Unlocking this skill point will allow players to then spend within the ‘Combat’ or 'Parkour' skill-trees.

Note: You will receive an on-screen notification when a skill point is available to spend.
