With the game being announced so early, anticipation ran rampant for months about who exactly would make the cut as one of the EA Sports College Football 25 teams. Dozens of schools around the nation deserved the honor, and there’s no doubt many fans were worried whether or not their alma mater would get the nod.
The wait is finally over, and the EA Sports College Football 25 teams and universities have officially been confirmed. We’ve got details below and a full list of all 134 FBS teams that will be playable in EA Sports College Football 25.
EA Sports College Football 25 Teams List
Major thanks goes out to Matt Brown of Extra Points for providing fans with quality accurate reporting in the years long wait between the announcement of and eventual reveal for EA Sports College Football 25. An earlier an interview with Brown stated that EA was aiming to have all 134 FBS schools ready for the game, and we can finally confirm that.
Here’s a list of all EA Sports College Football 25 teams:
This wraps up all 134 confirmed schools that will playable teams in EA Sports College Football 25. Heavy focus was put on the core atmosphere of college ball during development, and that means details like the team run-outs, rivalry rituals, crowd chants, fight songs, mascots, marching bands, and more will be there to make you feel at home playing as your favorite team.
Will more schools, colleges, and universities be added?
According to Matt Brown, while FCS schools won’t be in the game at launch, they could be added in future DLC. At this point, it’s not clear if these would be paid DLC that EA Sports chooses to sell separately or bundle with deluxe editions, but the hope would certainly be for free roster and content updates with additional teams.
With such a richly saturated selection to go with, we could see additions of specific conferences at lower levels or individual schools. The good thing is that even adding one more school could draw in alumni and fans of it, so there are definite motivating factors to continue expanding.
EA Sports College Football 25 Team Ratings
Even though we’ve gotten more news about EA Sports College Football 25 and confirmation of some of what will be in it from the developers, one of the last sets of reveals leading up to launch will be the EA Sports College Football 25 team ratings. Believe it or not, a few of the top options from NCAA Football 14 will probably still be in that same tier a decade later.
Alabama was the best team in NCAA Football 14 with a perfect 99 overall rating as well as a 99 in offense and defense. Ohio State, Oregon, Clemson, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Georgia rounded out the top ten back then. Alabama found their way into the College Football Playoff this year, but it was eventual champion Michigan that knocked them off and will likely be the highest rated team when EA Sports College Football 25 arrives.
