Fallout 76 Beasts of Burden Public Event Location, Rewards And How To Complete

Beast of the Burden is one of the new events in Fallout 76 that got added to the game with the 'Once in a Blue Moon' update released on June 20, 2023. The event expands the Mothman and the Blue Ridge Caravan narrative as one of the latter's members, Luca Costa, infiltrates a Mothman Cultist camp to retrieve his stolen goods, setting up the premises for the event. 

Moreover, Beast of the Burden is the public event where you encounter one of the two newly added Cryptids, the Ogua, which looks like a giant bipedal turtle. At the end of the event, you fight Ogua as the final boss. 

So, if you want to kill some Cryptids to complete weekly or daily challenges or just want to earn the new schematics and rewards from the Once in a Blue Moon update, you must know everything about the Beast of the Burden event. This is where our guide comes in handy, so keep reading. 

Fallout 76 Beast Of The Burden Event Location

The Beast of the Burden event takes place in the southeast part of the game's map, at Sacramental Glade. If you haven't discovered the location yet, you can reference the below map screenshot:

To give a brief idea of its location, the Sacramental Glade is a little northeast of the City of Watoga. 

How To Start Beast Of The Burden Event

Since the Beast of the Burden event is a public event, you cannot trigger it from your end. You should wait till the event goes live. 

Note: Public events in Fallout 76 randomly appears after every twenty minute. Currently, the game offers no feature to manually select and start a public event. 

How To Complete Beast Of The Burden Event

To complete the Beast of the Burden event, you must first head to its location and commence the event by talking to Luca and selecting the dialogue option 'I'll help you out.' Once that is done, listen to Luca's instructions and then head to the cultist camp. 

Once you are there, you must retrieve Luca's explosives by defeating the enemies named Cultist Sanctifiers. In total, you must defeat eight Cultist Sanctifiers, as you need the same number of explosives to place on shack doors around the camp. 

After that, you must clear the door and wait till the explosion breaks the shack doors. Once that happens, you can head inside the shacks and interact with the Cargo Crates to get Luca's cargo and head to the nearby shed and load it on the Brahmin. 

To progress this section of the event, you must get and load twenty cargo on the Brahmin. The Legendary Ogua spawns as the final boss as soon as you do that. Defeat the Ogua to complete the event.
