Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade: How to transfer data from PS4 to PS5

Final Fantasy VII fans were ecstatic to hear that not only Square Enix unveiled a new version of the game exclusive for the PS5, but that they could get access to it for free if they own a copy on PS4.

Furthermore, for those interested in running an NG+ on their shiny new consoles, Square confirmed they could transfer all of their saved data to FFVII Remake Intergrade at no additional cost.

If you're interested in doing so, here's how to go about it.

FFVII Remake Intergrade - How to transfer data from PS4 to PS5

First up, make sure your PS4 copy of FFVII Remake is updated and running on patch 1.02, as this will allow you to transfer data.

This patch adds a new "Upload Saved Data" to your game. Simply select which save files you want to upload and once this is done, go to your PlayStation 5, and in FFVII Remake Intergrade, select the "Download Save Data" option.

If you are trying to do this entire process from your PS5, remember to switch back from the PS4 version to the PS5 in order to access each menu option.

Simply select the three dots right side of the play game button on the PS5 and you should be able to see it.
