A new Ultimate Team TOTW is almost upon us, let's take a look at the players that could potentially have a spot in it.
FIFA 21 TOTW 5 predictions ft. Mendy, Lewandowski, Valverde and more

After a frantic weekend filled with amazing matches played across multiple leagues, EA Sports will have a hard time coming up with just 23 players to complete the Team of the Week 5 of FIFA 21.

Taking players from matches disputed between Thursdays and Mondays, the TOTW is always highly anticipated by fans when it drops every Wednesday.

Football was filled with top-notch bouts and individual performances this past week, from El Clasico that saw Real Madrid trump Barcelona, to Manchester United's draw against Chelsea with heroic antics from Edouard Mendy, and the continued dominance of Robert Lewandowski over the Bundesliga, let's predict who will make the FIFA 21 TOTW 5.

We start our predictions recap with a sure bet: Robert Lewandowski. The Polish superstar has been a goalscoring machine for the better part of the last decade, reaching astronomical figures with Bayern Munich.

The 32-year-old scored 40+ goals the past five seasons and has already netted 10 in 8 matches during the present campaign, securing a hat-trick versus Eintracht Frankfurt this past weekend, something EA Sports definitely took notice and we'll likely see him in the TOTW starting XI.

Next up, we move down the pitch to talk about our next prediction, Chelsea's shiny new goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy.

Kepa's time as the Blues number one came to an end following an appalling performance against Premier League Champions Liverpool a few weeks ago. Unable to live up to his massive price tag, Mendy came in and has made an immediate positive impact.

Playing four matches so far while keeping three clean sheets, the French-born shot-stopper was the star of the show against Manchester United, making some crucial saves and even denying Marcus Rashford a goal in a one-on-one situation.

Going back to goalscoring machines, it's not always we see a 13-0 scoreline, and we're EA Sports will look to reward at least one Ajax player for their utter dominance of VVV-Venlo.

Perhaps the clearest option is Lassina Traoré. The Burkina Faso striker not only managed to put five past Venlo's goalkeeper, but he also had time to set up three other goals for his team. An impressive display that will undoubtedly net him a spot in this week's TOTW.

Finally, we move to Spain for El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona. Yes, it's valid to believe that the game has lost a lot of its spark over the years, with both teams struggling to make the same kind of impact across Europe as they were managing to do so the last decade, but it was an incredible display of some of the most talented youngsters in the world, including one Federico Valverde.

The 22-year-old has been enrolled with Los Merengues since he signed with Real Madrid Castilla in 2016 making a splash last season by playing over 40 matches all season.

As a central midfielder, Valverde chewed up an experience Barcelona side that included old faces like Sergio Busquets, Gerard Piqué, and Jordi Alba, causing all sorts of trouble, securing himself the first goal of El Clasico in what would end up being a victory 3-1 for Real Madrid.
