FIFA 22: Release date, pre-order information, trailer, more

The official FIFA 22 cover and cover athlete reveal has finally arrived. Check out who graced the face of EA Sports' world-renowned footballing title for the impending FIFA 22 summer release.
It's been a fantastic season of football, capping off in style with the European championships. And as the 2020/21 campaign winds down, we look ahead to a fresh new season of the world's most popular sport.

For many, the release of the latest EA Sports FIFA title signals the unofficial commencement of the new football season. It always hits shelves in the Fall, as excitement is bubbling for major leagues starting back up again.

Now we have our first look at the official cover and cover athlete for the upcoming FIFA 22 title. Here's everything you need to know for the next edition of the UK's best-selling game.

FIFA 22 cover athlete - who is it?

Making a return as the EA Sports FIFA 22 cover athlete, French superstar Kylian Mbappé will once again feature on the front page. He'll still be just 22 years of age when FIFA 22 is officially released, and it seems he has the footballing world in the palm of his hand.

With multiple league titles, a World Cup, and two FIFA cover's already on his resume, the sky truly is the limit for Mbappé's career.

FIFA 22 release date & pre-order info

As of now, FIFA 22 is slated to hit shelves on 1st October, with the game available on 27th September to those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition.

EA released a brand new gameplay trailer, much of what is dedicated to the new HyperMotion technology.
