One of the most popular facets of Ultimate Team year after year, ICONs link past generations of footballing greatness with the present. They are always some of the highest-rated cards in the title, and of course, carry perfect chemistry when linked with any other player.

While they are extremely valuable, and typically very costly, EA Sports has made many more ICON cards attainable through free swaps exchanges. Ultimate Team players can earn FIFA 22 ICON Swaps tokens, which can be redeemed for legendary footballing figures.

Here's everything you need to know about the FIFA 22 ICON Swaps 1, including how to unlock tokens as well as some of the legendary player rewards.

How do FIFA 22 ICON Swaps work?

FIFA 22 ICON Swaps are a free process for Ultimate Team players to pick up ICON cards to add to their squad. While most ICON cards usually cost hundreds of thousands in FUT coins, ICON Swaps are available to unlock through free Squad Building Challenges (SBCs).

Ultimate Team players will have a chance to complete special Objectives challenges, which will reward them with ICON Swaps tokens. These tokens are what you'll need to complete the ICON Swaps SBCs and unlock the high-powered legend cards.

ICON Swaps 1 is now open, and the window will run until 7th February. Ultimate Team players will have the opportunity to unlock a total of 18 ICON Swaps 1 tokens in that allotted timeframe.

1st ICON Swap

• Win 6
  • Win 6 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: One League, with at least 8 First Owned Serie A players in your starting Squad
• Score 10
  • Score in 10 separate matches using Serie A players in the Live FUT Friendly: One League
• Through Assist 5
  • Assist with a Through Ball in 5 separate matches using Serie A players in the Live FUT Friendly: One League

2nd ICON Swap

• Win 6
  • Win 6 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: One League, with at least 8 First Owned LaLiga players in your starting Squad
• Score 10
  • Score in 10 separate matches using LaLiga players in the Live FUT Friendly: One League
• Through Assist 5
  • Assist with a Through Ball in 5 separate matches using LaLiga players in the Live FUT Friendly: One League

3rd ICON Swap

• Win 6
  • Win 6 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: One League, with at least 8 First Owned LaLiga players in your starting Squad
• Score 10

FIFA 22 ICON Swaps 1 - rewards

ICON Swaps 1 rewards are available to redeem via SBCs. The special squad building challenges can only be completed with ICON Swaps tokens, and higher-level rewards require more tokens to unlock.
