Since the launch of Final Fantasy 16, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of an in-game collaboration in Final Fantasy 14. In the past, fans have seen special crossovers with many of the main series, from Final Fantasy 15's Prince Noctis gearing up for a questline adventure to Final Fantasy X Glamour sets. 

Announced at Final Fantasy 14 London 2023 Fan Fest, a Final Fantasy 16 collaboration is finally on the way. Called The Path Infernal, it seems players will be teaming up with Clive Rosfield to challenge Ifrit, and more. The brief trailer revealed a lot of exciting content that's scheduled to arrive with the questline, but the main question is: when does Final Fantasy 16 crossover release?

Final Fantasy 14 x Final Fantasy 16 The Path Infernal Release Date

Square Enix has confirmed that the Final Fantasy 14 x Final Fantasy 16 The Path Infernal questline will be releasing during the 6.5x update cycle, in April 2024, however an exact release date has yet to be revealed.

Final Fantasy 14 Patch 6.5: Growing Light will be split into two parts. The first main scenario part launched on 3 October 2023. The second main scenario part will release in 16 January 2024, in Patch 6.51, after the Final Fantasy 14 Tokyo Fan Festival.

During the trailer, a number of new Final Fantasy 16-themed cosmetics were revealed, including outfits inspired by Clive Rosfield for both male and female characters. Players will also be able to get their hands on a Togal Mount and Minion.
