How To Get The Giant Leaf Parasol Accessory In FFXIV

The newest variant and criterion dungeons are here in FFXIV with the arrival of the Aloalo Island dungeon. Both the variant, criterion, and criterion savage modes are available and players are already hard at work grinding these new dungeons in order to acquire all of the available loot. Mounts, emotes, rare weapons, and more can all be obtained by putting in the work to complete these dungeons multiple times over. 

While a lot of the available rewards for this dungeon can be obtained simply by completing multiple runs, this isn't the case for all items. This includes the topic of this article, the Giant Leaf Parasol fashion accessory. 

How To Get the Giant Leaf Parasol Accessory In FFXIV

As mentioned, a lot of the new mounts, emotes, and items can be obtained by grinding the dungeon in order to obtain the new currency, Potsherds. Potsherds can be traded with Trisassant for a slew of rare and limited-time items. Unfortunately, this is not the case for the Giant Leaf Parasol accessory. The Giant Leaf Parasol accessory is a random drop that can be obtained from both the variant and criterion modes of the Aloalo Island dungeon. It is not linked to the chest at the end of the dungeon, and seemingly has a chance to drop from any of the chests in the dungeon. 

Players will need to complete multiple runs of the dungeon and hope that the rare item drops. This means that there is no guaranteed way to obtain the Giant Leaf Parasol accessory, and players will need to hope that luck is on their side. You could be fortunate and get the item on the first run. Or, you could be unlucky and make it into the double or even triple digits without receiving the item. 

That being said, because this item drops in a variant dungeon, the rewards are not shared among the party. This means that you do not have to worry about losing a roll if the item finally does drop. Once you see it on your screen, the Giant Leaf Parasol is yours!

Alternatively, it is also possible to purchase the Giant Leaf Parasol accessory via the Market Board. That being said, because the Giant Leaf Parasol accessory is a new item, you can expect to pay over the odds in order to acquire it. Half a million Gil is the current price to buy this item, but if you can't seem to get a drop and have the expendable income, this is a great timesaver.
