How To Unlock Dark Knight Job In FFXIV

One of the great things about playing FFXIV is that it is possible to play every single Job on a single character. You can load into a raid as a DPS, then fight some world bosses as a tank before helping out in a Dungeon Roulette as a healer. 

While a lot of the Classes and Jobs are available to all players from the start of the game, with each new expansion, the developers of FFXIV have been good at introducing new Jobs to spice things up. 

These Jobs require players to meet certain criteria before they can be unlocked, however, and one of these Jobs is the Dark Knight. So, if you are curious about how to unlock the Dark Knight, this article will guide you through everything you need to do to start playing this Job. 

How To Unlock Dark Knight In FFXIV

To unlock Dark Knight, players must first have completed the Main Scenario Quest of A Realm Reborn. Once this is completed, players must also have access to Ishgard by completing the quest "Coming to Ishgard."

Once both of these criteria have been met, players will need to speak with the Ishgardian citizen in the pillars (X:13, Y:8). Speaking with this NPC will provide you with the Dark Knight unlock quest, "Our End." Playing through and completing this quest will allow you to then start playing as a Dark Knight. 

The Dark Knight Job, unlike other Classes which start at level 1, will start at level 30. Originally released in Heavensward, The Dark Knight is a powerful tank Job capable of dishing out heavy damage and providing damage mitigation to the team.
