How to get Fortnite on iOS devices

Fortnite is back to iOS devices, and players can play it via Nvidia GeForce Now. Here's how to do this.
How to get Fortnite on iOS devices

Fortnite was pulled out from Apple App Store in August 2020 after a lawsuit by Apple prohibiting players from playing the game on their mobile phones. Since then, players have been actively looking out for ways to play the popular battle royale title and not miss out on the exciting content that is being introduced by Epic Games.

However, you don't need to worry about it now as Fortnite is back to iOS devices, but this time instead of the Apple App Store, you can play it by using Nvidia GeForce Now. The game has entered closed beta testing, and here's how you get to play it on your iOS device.

Fortnite is the only game in GeForce Now that is optimised for mobile devices delivered through the cloud, and in order to play it, you will have to register yourself on the official Nvidia website.

Once you are registered, you might get selected to be a part of this closed beta testing, and you don't need a paid subscription for this.

The invitations will be sent to a limited number of players, and if you are selected, you need to follow the steps below.

  1. Open Safari on your iOS device and go to play.geforcenow.com.
  2. Then follow the instructions and install the GeForce NOW app.
  3. Open the GeForce NOW app and go to settings to link your Epic Games account.
  4. Then you will need to go to the Games section and find Fortnite.
  5. Launch it and start playing!

In addition to the touch controls, Fortnite also supports controllers that will let you have a console gameplay experience on your iOS device.

As of now, the end date of this closed beta is not announced yet and based on the feedback from players; developers will make further decisions related to the game.
