Fortnite Among Us easter egg - Is more content coming soon?

While Chapter 3 Season 2 of Fortnite has been full of so much excitement, fans are always looking for what Epic Games has in the pipeline. Crossover events and promos have been some of the most popular releases in recent Fortnite seasons, and it looks like fans may have a clue to what could be the next in line.

Check out all the latest here after it appears some players may have found an in-game Fortnite Among Us easter egg in Chapter 3 Season 2 of the battle royale.

Fortnite x Among Us crossover content

Back in 2020, the fast-paced strategy title, Among Us, burst through the roof in a massive popularity spike. With an average of about 60 million daily players, the game was making waves and attracting fans from every corner of the globe. Many titles quickly adapted their own iteration of the Among Us game model, and Fortnite was no different as fans can make their own content via Creative mode.

The Fortnite Among Us mode was called Spy Within and operated just like the 2020 smash-hit game. Players (Agents) would work together or sometimes deceive each other, in order to vote the Imposters (Spies) out. Later in Chapter 2 Season 7, Epic Games released the Impostors mode which is their official take on Among Us and plays a bit smoother than some of the fan-created content.

After a brief social media exchange back in October 2021 which saw the official Fortnite account tweeting at the official Among Us handle, many players were suspecting an upcoming crossover. While things had gone fairly quiet over the last few months, a recent Reddit post suggests Fortnite fans may have found an Among Us easter egg in Chapter 3 Season 2.

Of course, this could all be entirely coincidence, but it does seem like the map is shaped and colored in the likeness of an Among Us crewmate. There hasn't been any recent word from Epic Games, but that certainly hasn't stopped fans from digging. We'll be sure to monitor the situation and will update you should Epic Games announce upcoming Among Us content.
