This tournament is open to all players, and there are already over 500,000 registered Duos squads.

The exact closing date and time for registration are unknown but if you want to participate, make haste as the Fortnite DreamHack Open Europe tournament kicks off on 19th December at 13:00 GMT with the first heat.

Prize pool

The combined prize pool for the December Fortnite DreamHack Open featuring two US tournaments and the European one is 250,000 USD.

Players in the Fortnite DreamHack Open Europe tournament will fight for their share of the 82,550 USD if they make it to the final day of the competition.

Format

The Fortnite DreamHack Open Europe tournament will take place via three stages, with the first stage featuring two qualifiers into the main tournament.

The tournament format is:

• Two open qualifiers with 250 duos advancing from each heat to the semifinals.
• Each duo can play a maximum of 10 games during the 3-hour-heat.
• Semis with 500 duos and 50 duos advancing to the Grand Final. Each duo can play a maximum of 10 games during the 3hour heat.
• Grand Final with 6 consecutive games at scheduled times. New game starts every 40 minutes.

The Fortnite DreamHack Open Europe tournament will take place over two action-packed days, running from 19th to 20th December 2020.

• Heat #2 - 19th December from 17:00 to 20:00
• Semi-finals - 20th December from 13:00 to 16:00
• Grand Finals - 20th December from 17:00 to 21:00
