Fortnite Komplex Outfit - Why You Can’t Claim It?

Fortnite servers are live again after a short downtime for the 21.30 update. Once you launch the game after updating it, you may receive a popup to claim the Komplex outfit. It’s a rare Fortnite character’s outfit that could be purchased for the Item Shop for 1,200 V-Bucks.

The Komplex outfit was initially introduced in Chapter 2: Season 1 as a part of the Aerosol Assassins Set. However, the ultimate question is why Fortnite players are getting a popup to claim Komplex outfit?

Why can you not claim the Komplex outfit in Fortnite?

With the arrival of Fortnite v21.30, Epic Games made some changes to the Komplex outfit. In case the players who’ve bought this skin prior to this change can request a refund if they’re not satisfied with the amendments. The buyers can get their V-Bucks back in their account before August 17, 2022, even if they don’t have any refund tokens.

In simple terms, only the buyers of Fortnite’s Komplex outfit can claim it for free in the latest update. So the rare outfit isn’t a part of any offer and is much like a notification to its buyers. As a result, if you’ve not officially purchased this outfit, the offer isn’t for you. Therefore, clicking the claim button won’t actually do anything.

This isn’t the first time when Epic Games have pushed such notifications to Fortnite players. With the recent v20.30 update, the same happened with Beach Jules Skin, and many players were confused and annoyed at that time too.

Later the official Fortnite Status Twitter handle reported, “The message about tokenless refund for Beach Jules outfit was mistakenly sent to everyone, not just players who had the outfit.  If you do not currently own the item, clicking the "Claim" button will not do anything. We apologize for the confusion.”

So that explains everything about why you cannot claim the Komplex outfit in Fortnite.
