With the Fortnite v20.40 update, Epic Games unleashed the Dragon Ball collaboration, filled with goodies such as new skins, rewards, island locations, and much more. There's also a Tournament of Power event in Fortnite, and we can imagine the developers screaming "Kamehameha" while creating it.

This article outlines what you need to know about the Fortnite Tournament of Power, including its start date, the rewards players can acquire, and how you can join the Dragon Ball-inspired action.

Fortnite Tournament of Power Date & Format

Epic Games calls on players to harness their power and unleash it in Fortnite's Tournament of Power. To do so, you will probably need to know what the date for this competitive event is, and if you should bring a friend along.

The Fortnite Tournament of Power date is 18th August 2022. The specific event timing for each region can be found in the Compete tab in-game, so log in to mark your calendar, as the Fortnite Tournament of Power will be available in all regions.

In terms of format, this Duos tournament will run for three hours. Participants can play up to 10 matches during this window.

How to Join Fortnite Tournament of Power

You can join the Fortnite Tournament of Power by heading to its Competitive Playlist with your Duos partner. It is as simple as that, but there are some requirements.

Fortnite players must have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Epic account to compete. Furthermore, your account level must be level 50 or above.

Fortnite Tournament of Power Dragon Ball Rewards

Competitors can earn some shiny cosmetic rewards from the Tournament of Power, which is Dragon Ball-themed.

Unlike most other events, the Fortnite Tournament of Power will feature an additional Kamehameha Leaderboard. You will earn an additional reward (Beerus Eating Spray) if you eliminate others with the Kamehameha ability three times.

• Top 50% on Main Leaderboard: Angry Vegeta Emoticon.
• 8 Points Earned on Main Leaderboard: Goku's Kanji Banner Icon.
