While purchases with real money is the easiest way to get hold of V-Bucks, it's not the only way. In fact, players can earn themselves free V-Bucks, if they're willing to put in the time.

It's important to note that websites claiming to offer free V-Bucks are, more often than not, a scam. Any free codes for V-Bucks will be offered via Epic Games themselves, or in direct partnership. So, if the sea of unofficial links and codes aren't to be trusted, how can you claim free V-Bucks?

Well, fortunately, Epic Games tends to offer out V-Bucks from time to time, so be sure to keep an eye on any official promotions. As for April 2024, there aren't any official free V-Bucks promotions to take advantage of just yet.

But players can still earn free V-Bucks just by playing Fortnite. Each season's Battle Pass features a free reward track, which offers up a number of free V-Bucks in 100 V-Buck denominations. Play through enough Battle Passes and you'll eventually earn enough free V-Bucks to purchase a premium Battle Pass, without having to spend any money. 

The great thing about this is that each Premium Battle Pass contains enough V-Bucks rewards to purchase the next season's Battle Pass, so you could keep enjoying all of the premium rewards if you complete the Battle Pass each season. Or, you can use those free V-Bucks for other purchases within the Item Shop.
