How to Hurdle in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

After a three-month-long run of Chapter 3 Season 4, a new Fortnite chapter has arrived globally. The new Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is filled to the brim with plenty of new features and changes, such as a brand new map to explore, battle pass, and new weapons such as the Ex-Caliber Rifle, Thunder Shotgun, the Maven Auto Shotgun, and the Red-Eye Assault Rifle.

Apart from these additions, Epic Games introduced a new movement mechanic called Hurdle, which allows you to jump over obstacles while sprinting. Inarguably, it's a fantastic mechanism that you can use to your advantage. So without any further delay, here's a detailed Fortnite guide on how to Hurdle in the game.

To hurdle in Fortnite, all you need to do is sprint toward an obstacle like a broken wall or fence. If you don't know, you can sprint in Fortnite by pressing the Shift button on your keyboard. Once you're near an obstacle while sprinting at the same time, your character hurdle over it, and you'll continue to maintain your momentum.

If you compare hurdling with mantling in Fortnite, the former allows you to keep up your running speed even if there's an obstacle in your way. Whereas the latter only allows you to hurdle over objects, and you will lose the velocity once you land on the ground.

However, it's worth noting that the obstacle shouldn't be taller than the players’ knee length. If you fail to satisfy this condition, then you can't hurdle over such barriers.

Also, there are certain challenges in the week 0 quests tab that requires to hurdle in Fortnite. So if you want to earn an abundance of XP for the latest battle pass, then don't forget to use this new movement mechanism to unlock more Fortnite Battle Pass tiers.

So that's everything you need to know about how to hurdle in Fortnite Chapter 4.
