Imperial Stormtrooper skin comes to Fortnite

Fortnite's newest cosmetic item is a famous sight from the Star Wars franchise, bringing the aesthetic and hopefully not the aim of a Stormtrooper to the new island.

With Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order out today, Epic Games have released an Imperial Stormtrooper Fortnite skin for the ocassion.

Players have two options to acquire this skin, 'free' with the purchase of the latest Star Wars game title on the Epic Games Store or from the Fortnite Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks.

Imperial Stormtrooper is part of a set called Original Trilogy, suggesting further Star Wars skins could be coming as part of Chapter 2.

The next installment in the Star Wars film franchise The Rise of Skywalker releasing on 15th December, so there is a month to wait and see if there are further cosmetics from the iconic movies.

Fortnite's popularity has brought many bigs names and brands into the game. After The Reaper was jokingly refered to as 'John Wick', an official John Wick skin was added in May.

DC and Marvel have both seen cosmetics added to the battle royale, with the latter also being part of a special limtied time mode that allowed players to use the same Infinity Gauntlet as Thanos.

Marshmello has his own skin and hosted a virtual concert on the original map that saw millions join the server to be in the 'live audience' in a record-breaking in-game event.

Fortnite has established itself firmly in the mainstream and is showing no signs of slowing down. Further pop culture crossover items as well as events can be expected for the foreseeable future.
