Fortnite x Kingdom Hearts: What We Know So Far

Sora and friends could be on their way to Fortnite, if new leaks are to be believed.
Fortnite x Kingdom Hearts: What We Know So Far

Fortnite is rolling out Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked, introducing a new wave of crossovers, mechanics, and more. As with each new season, there comes a batch of new leaks and rumors that hint at what's to come further down the line. This time, one of the biggest claims is that Kingdom Hearts will be getting a collaboration with Fortnite.

Is Kingdom Hearts Coming To Fortnite?

According to known Fortnite leakers, a Kingdom Hearts collaboration is reportedly in the works. The info comes via leaker Midori (@MbKKssTBhz5 on X), who has accurately reported past leaks of Square Enix-related games and broader news from Japanese studios.

According to Midori, Kingdom Hearts is set to get multiple collaborations, including one with Fortnite. However, at the time of writing, neither Square Enix or Epic Games have confirmed the information.

While the collaboration has yet to be confirmed by either studio, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Kingdom Hearts to make its way into Fortnite. The battle royale has regularly included skins from other known gaming franchises, including Doom, God of War, and Resident Evil.

Despite this, should Fortnite receive a Kingdom Hearts collaboration, it would mark the first time original Square Enix characters have been added to Fortnite (not counting Tomb Raider's Lara Croft which has only been a Square Enix property since 2009).

Given that the collaboration has yet to receive an official announcement, there's currently no telling when it could appear in Fortnite. The current speculation is that it will arrive sometime during Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked, though it's very possible that it could even emerge in a later season.

It's also unclear which characters could arrive as part of the collaboration. Sora is no doubt a safe bet, however it remains to be seen whether the crossover will add in the likes of Kairi and Riku, or introduce Donald and Goofy to the world of modern weapons. Both options are a strong possibility, especially considering Disney's decision to allow Fortnite to utilize their IPs

We'll be sure to update this article with more information as it is made available. For now, though, we're hoping Sora's next world-hopping adventure will be taking him to the Fortnite island.
