Next Fortnite Icon Series skin to feature TheGrefg with reveal date confirmed

If you've been wondering when the next Fortnite Icon Series skin will release, and a brand-new tournament will take place, then you won't have to wait long. Following Lachlan's Fortnite Icon Series skin last year, YouTuber and Twitch streamer David "TheGrefg" Cánovas has now confirmed he will be the next Fortnite Icon Series skin.

TheGrefg also teased the skin and revealed exactly when a full unveil will happen. Here's what we know so far about the next Fortnite Icon Series skin.

Next Fortnite Icon Series skin ft. TheGrefg

Earlier in January, TheGrefg mentioned how he would never leave Fortnite, and how his skin is ready to come out. This fueled a lot of speculation surrounding a possible Fortnite Icon Series skin.

Check out the short video below from YouTuber SinX6 where TheGrefg talks about his upcoming Fortnite skin.

TheGrefg said: "l will never leave Fortnite. Especially now that my skin is ready to come out. By the way, there’s something real big coming out this week, so don’t worry."

A few days later, the content creator took to Twitter and officially teased his Fortnite Icon Series skin with an image. He also announced the skin will be fully unveiled on 11th January 2021 at 20:00 CEST, which is 18:00 GMT.

We will likely see Epic Games announce the Icon Series tournament on the same date and time, with the next update (v15.20) to follow soon afterwards.

When will TheGrefg Fortnite Icon Series skin release?

While we know the reveal will take place on 11th January 2021, it is still unclear when the Fortnite Icon Series skin for TheGrefg will release.

Generally, Icon Series skins are part of a tournament, where the winning team or player will get the skin for free.

However, after the tournament ends, players will also be able to pick it up via the Item Shop if past Icon Series skins are anything to go by.
