Fortnite is known for its varied and creative collaborations with other companies and franchises to increase its reach and potential audience base. One company that Fortnite has collaborated with in the past is Nike, and it seems as though another collab with the popular corporation is in the works.  So in this article, we'll take a closer look at what we know so far regarding the Nike x Fortnite collab, including its release date, the content it will feature, and much more. So let's get started.

Update 20 June: The Nike x Fortnite "Airphoria" collaboration is now live in-game.

Fortnite - Nike x Fortnite Collab "Airphoria" Start Date

The collaborative effort between Fortnite and Nike, known as the "Airphoria" collaboration, is set to take place on June 20, 2023, coinciding with the release of Fortnite update v25.10. This was also confirmed by the Nike corporation on their official Twitter page that we'll check out below.

The Nike x Fortnite Airphoria experience is now live, with players able to check out the zone and earn rewards by visiting the Creative map. The island code for this collaboration is: 2118-5342-7190. The experience will be live from now up until June 27, 2023, at 8 PM ET.  The Air Max-themed UEFN Map has been created by Nike, utilizing the power of the Unreal Engine for Fortnite.

Following the conclusion of the downtime after the v25.10 update, Nike-designed Outfits or Skins will be made available in the Item Shop. Additionally, there will be other cosmetic items accompanying the collaboration.

All players who take part in the Creative experience for 10 minutes or more will receive the Air Max 1 '86 Back Bling. The cosmetic will be unlocked after June 28. 

Typically, collaborations in Fortnite include special Challenges or Quests that players can complete to earn free cosmetics. This Nike "Airphoria" collaboration also features such tasks, this time revolving around finding the missing Air Max Grails. It has been confirmed that members of ".SWOOSH" will receive exclusive rewards during this collaboration.

Players who are at least 13 years old, live in the United States, and link their Epic Games and Nike accounts between June 20 at 12 p.m. ET and June 27 at 8 p.m. ET will be able to claim an Achievement on .SWOOSH by August 8, 2023.

The following Outfits and cosmetics have also been added to the Fortnite Item Shop as part of this new Nike collaboration:

  • Airphoria Pack (featuring Airie and Maxxed Out Max Outfits)

  • That Ice Pickaxe

  • Maxx Axe Pickaxe

  • Maxx Drop Glider

  • Keep ‘Em Crispy Emote

The That Ice and Maxx Axe Pickaxes, Maxx Drop Glider, and Keep ‘Em Crispy Emote are available to purchase individually or via the Airphoria Gear Bundle, which additionally includes the Air Wave Emoticon, Maxx Volume Spray, and Airphoria Loading Screen.
