Fortnite will receive two new Capcom characters as Epic Games have confirmed the arrival of Street Fighter's Sakura and Blanka. They join the likes of Guile, Cammy, Chun-Li, Ryu, and Resident Evil's Jill Valentine, who are already in the battle royale.

Blanka has been part of the franchise since the groundbreaking Street Fighter II, meanwhile, Sakura joined the roster during the Alpha series of titles, specifically with Street Fighter Alpha II.

Both are widely known characters in the fighting game community, but perhaps less so for dedicated Fortnite players. Having said that, the skins will feature a lot of bells and whistles that will definitely get the attention of more than one.

Both skins will hit the Fortnite in-game shop on 28th April at 5:00 pm PT (2:00 am GMT). Previous Street Fighter bundles (Chun-Li/Ryu and Cammy/Guile)  cost 2,200 V-Bucks.

Each individual Street Fighter skin will cost 1,600 V-Bucks. Both Sakura and Blanka will have different variations. Take a look at both their skins down below.

The Blanka skins come with the following cosmetics:

  • Blanka Backflip Emote
  • Blanka-Chan Back Bling
  • Tropical Hazard Kebab Pickaxe

The Sakura skins come with the following cosmetics:

  • Sakura's Victory Sway Emote.
  • Fighting Tournament Trophy Pickaxe.
  • Kayari Buta Glider.

Each alternate skin is a deep cut for Capcom enthusiasts. The fancy Blanka skin is inspired by an obscure cult classic from the Japanese company, Rival Schools, more specifically, it's designed to honor Boman Delgado.

As for Sakura's alt-skin, it's based on one of the many outfits she can wear in Street Fighter IV. Another cute reference is Sakura's sway emote, which is the same dance she does in Alpha II. In fact, her iconic theme plays whenever you use the emote in Fortnite.

Street Fighter fans will be sure to enjoy this new set of skins, so don't miss out on them if you want to complete your collection of Capcom cosmetics in Fortnite.
