Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, entitled "Vibin," dawns a new era in which the island inhabitants are no longer at war with the IO forces. Instead, it's now a party place where everyone is (you guessed it) vibing in this new vibrant iteration of the Chapter 3 map.
Aside from a new Battle Pass, new weapons, and several new locations, Epic Games has also introduced new gameplay mechanics to keep things fresh. This includes taming and riding animals like Boars and Wolves in Fortnite.
If you're one of those players struggling to figure out how to ride and traverse the island on the back of some of Fortnite's ferocious wild creatures, don't worry. We have you covered.
How to ride Boars and Wolves in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3
Fortnite's island has always been home to various wild animals. From Sharks in the lakes to Wolves and Boars in the forests. While these animals have always been a threat, you can now tame and ride Wolves and Boars, which significantly changes the gameplay, both in combat and traversal.
Before you ride or tame animals in Fortnite, you first have to find them. Thankfully, finding Wolves and Boars isn't difficult since they roam freely across the map. However, we do recommend checking the forested areas first, like Sanctuary.
As of now, there are two ways to ride animals in Fortnite. The easiest way is to jump on their backs and start riding. Boars won't attack you unless provoked, so you can easily hop on their backs and start riding once you have found one.
On the other hand, taming a wild Wolf is tricky since it will start attacking you on sight. Moreover, most Wolves roam in packs, which makes things more complicated. Therefore, we recommend stealthily jumping on the back of a lone Wolf from the top of a nearby incline, as then you would have the element of surprise and avoid the risk of getting bitten off.

The other way to ride animals in Fortnite is by using a slice of meat to tame them. It will require a bit of time and patience, which is why we recommend the first option.
One of the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Week 1 Quests also requires you to ride animals in two different matches. So, by doing this, you will also be completing one of the weekly quests and snagging 15,000 XP in the process.
That concludes our guide on how to tame and ride animals in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.
