21-year-old Tfue has developed a huge following on Twitch, totalling over seven million followers and at one point being the most subscribed content creator on the platform. Unfortunately, though, Tfue feels that he needs to take a break from what can be an incredibly draining career, with no word yet on when he will return.
In a series of tweets published late Thursday night, Tfue announces that he is taking some time off due to not being happy.
"I have anything I could ask for in life but for some reason I’m not happy lately" he said first, before following up by saying: "I feel trapped in a negative crawl space in my mind".
Naturally, Tfue received an outpouring of support following the publication of these tweets, with fans and peers alike reaching out to offer a hand and some advice. This includes former trios and longterm duos teammate Curtis "Cloak" Lepore offering his love and support.
"Head up. Only forward. Nothing but love from everyone around you," Cloak said, a good sign considering the public spat the pair are currently having revolving around their trio splitting. This tweet, if anything, shows that there's no real bad blood between the two, so we may yet see them playing together again in the future.
Tfue's tweets definitely present a bigger question: not only how being a public figure can be detrimental to someone, but how much the streamer lifestyle can really impact an individual.
Here's to hoping Tfue finds happiness again, as his disappearance from Twitch would be a huge blow to the millions who have found enjoyment in watching him and seeing his personality shine through in his content.
