During Chapter 2 Season 5, the Axiom skin was ran only one time in a sample size of 1.3 million players via replays. This is according to I Talk Fortnite's calculations.

The Axiom skin is so rare because it only appeared on the Fortnite item shop for a few months, from 20th March 2019 to 2nd July 2019, and hasn't been seen since.

Players could purchase this exceptionally rare Fortnite skin for 1,200 V-Bucks. It uses the Jonesy model and is part of the Third Eye set.

Fortnite rare skin #2: Galaxy

Considered the most beautiful of the rarest skins in Fortnite, the original Galaxy skin was very expensive to come by. Back in 2018, people who pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Samsung Note 9 or the Galaxy Tab S4 between 10th August and 23rd August 2018 could get this exclusive skin.

Making the Galaxy Fortnite skin even rarer was that those who pre-ordered one of the Samsung devices from the correct retailers could also choose between a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, or the exclusive Galaxy Fortnite skin and 15,000 V-Bucks.

Therefore, only those who pre-ordered AND chose a Fortnite skin above a pair of headphones has this beautiful, exceptionally rare Fortnite skin right now.

Fortnite rare skin #3: Renegade Raider

Going back all the way to the very first season of Fortnite is the Renegade Raider skin. Over time, this skin has become very rare thanks to the time that has passed. The only way you will see a Renegade Raider in Fortnite during 2021 is if someone who played the game from the start is still at it...

Players could only earn the Renegade Raider skin by levelling their Fortnite account to 20 and then purchasing the skin for 1,200 V-Bucks. It's also not as shiny as the other rare skins, which means you will likely not see a player using it for a very long time. 

Fortnite rare skin #4: Double Helix

Just like the Galaxy skin, the Double Helix skin in Fortnite is one of the rarest out there because players had to purchase some expensive hardware to obtain it.

Back in September 2018, it was announced that players could purchase a Nintendo Switch console bundle which has since gone out of stock after it launched in October 2018. There's no way to obtain the Double Helix Fortnite skin in 2018, and you will likely not see it in matches too often.

Fortnite rare skin #5: Black Knight

Sneaking its way into the number five slot on our rarest Fortnite skin list is the Black Knight. All the way back in the second season of Fortnite, players had to level up their Battle Pass to the maximum at the time, level 70. Since not nearly as many players maxed out their Battle Pass back in the day, the Black Knight Fortnite skin is extremely rare.

The Black Knight skin is one of the most sought-after in Fortnite right now. It is of legendary quality and has a very unique look compared to the other, shiny and colourful skins released in 2021 so far.
