When Does Fortnite Ranked Season 1 Start?

With players now accustomed to Fortnite Ranked in Season Zero, many are now looking ahead to Season 1. Here's when it's set to start.
When Does Fortnite Ranked Season 1 Start?

Fortnite players have been busy testing their skills against more challenging opponents, thanks to the roll out of Fortnite Ranked. Having kicked off alongside last season's v24.40 update, players have been thrust into Fortnite Ranked Season Zero across both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. The competitive mode sees players climbing through eight ranks, culminating with the coveted Unreal rank where the best of the best will remain throughout the rest of the season.

During Chapter 4 Season 3, Fortnite Ranked saw its first reset, where players had their Season Zero ranks reset for the first time. The move gave Epic Games a chance to test out how everything would work in upcoming seasons, such as full rollout of Fortnite Ranked Season 1. But when is Season 1 set to begin?

When Does Fortnite Ranked Season 1 Start?

While Epic Games has yet to confirm the official date for when Fortnite Ranked Season 1 will begin, we already have some idea. Fortnite Ranked Season Zero has been confirmed to last until the end of Chapter 4 Season 3. This means that players can expect Season 1 to launch alongside Chapter 4 Season 4 of Fortnite.

Fortnite seasons tend to last roughly 80 days, and Chapter 4 Season 3 is expected to come to a close roughly around August 25. Of course, this date is always subject to change based on Epic Games' will.

So, even with the first Ranked reset, players still have plenty of time to play through Season Zero before it comes to an end. This is great news for those looking to get their hands on the special rewards available during this first Ranked season. Players stand to gain various cosmetics, including Sprays, Loading Screens, Emotes and more.

But players won't earn these rewards by simply showing up. After jumping from the Battle Bus into a Ranked match, a series of Ranked Urgent Quests will pop up which players will need to complete to earn the season's rewards. A new Ranked Urgent Quest is given every match and progress doesn't carry over, so players will need to be extra diligent if they want to grab everything on offer.
