Forza Horizon 5 Series 2 – Holiday Special brought the holidays to Mexico with many themed challenges, events, and collectibles for players to track down and complete. Alongside some in-game seasonal changes, there are also new festive rewards to be earned in Series 2 and a Horizon Secret Santa incentive that rewards players when using Gift Drops.
One of these holiday-themed challenges is the Frosty Friends challenge, where you need to track down snowmen across the Horizon map. In true Horizon fashion, players will need to smash the snowmen to earn a cosmetic reward.
Here’s where you can find the snowmen in Forza Horizon 5, how to complete the challenge and its rewards.
How to find the snowmen in Forza Horizon 5?
Like other seasonal collectibles and environmental changes, the snowmen can’t be seen on the map. If you don’t want to spend too much of your time driving around looking, most of these frosty friends can be spotted at La Gran Caldera.
Players can either drive to this location, if close by, or use the Fast Travel system to travel to the location directly. La Gran Caldera is home to a meteorological station where you can find the snowmen littered around the area.
The first snowman stands at the entrance to the meteorological station, and the second snowman stands in the same place on the right side of the house. Players then travel to a lake near the meteorological station to spot a wooden house and the third snowman.
Head south of the lake for the next snowman close to the lake’s edge and the fifth resting on a slope beside a large rock.
How to complete the Frosty Friends collectible challenge?
For players to complete the challenge, you will need to smash 15 snowmen; however, only five snowmen spawn at a time. The best methods to complete the challenge is to either use the Rewind feature or back out of the game and restart it to have them respawn in the exact locations until all 15 snowmen have been smashed.
This will complete the Horizon Series 2 Frosty Friends collectible challenge. Additionally, the snowmen are tied to an Accolade, Mazda of All Trades, where you will need to smash 25 snowmen, Christmas trees, and candy canes in any Mazda car.
If you choose to complete this accolade while still at La Gran Caldera, repeat the above-mentioned process to smash 25 snowmen. For the Christmas trees and candy canes, you will need to travel to Guanajuato and Mulege to complete the Accolade.
What are the rewards for the Frosty Friends collectible challenge?
After locating all 15 snowmen and smashing your car into every snowman across the Horizon Festival, players will have completed the Frosty Friends collectible challenge. Upon completion, players will unlock the Snowman Outfit as well as earning three Playlist Points
Unfortunately, many players have noted that this challenge only rewarded them with the Sad Snowman Head. For the costume, you will need to complete the Make It Rein event, where you will need to drive any A-Class Super Saloon car for The Trial challenge. Completing the event will earn you 10 Playlist Points and the Snowman Costume item.

And that’s everything you need to know about the Frosty Friends collectible challenge. It’s important to note that the Frosty Friends collectible challenge is bugged as the counter doesn’t accurately count the number of snowmen smashed.
