Forza Horizon 5 Tropical Fruits Treasure Hunt – How To Play And Rewards

Race around the Horizon Festival in an electric car as you track down a treasure chest for the Tropical Fruits Treasure Hunt in Forza Horizon 5.
Forza Horizon 5 Tropical Fruits Treasure Hunt – How To Play And Rewards

Forza Horizon 5 developer Playground Games released their latest game update, Series 10, which sees the game include the off-road racing series, Extreme E, to the game. Placing drivers behind the wheel of an electric car, there will be plenty of racing events and challenges to complete alongside the new Summer/Wet Season Festival Playlist.

The season Festival Playlist has a new limited-time challenge, the Tropical Fruits Treasure Hunt, where you'll have to unearth the lost treasure that has many stumped. This guide will detail how to complete the Treasure Hunt challenge and claim its rewards in Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 Tropical Fruits Treasure Hunt – How to complete

From the Festival Playlist menu, the Tropical Fruits Treasure Hunt will give you the first clue to start the challenge. To solve the first clue, "Carting on electric wheels is five times better if you have the skill," you'll need to own an electric car.

Together with the ten electric vehicles (EV) available with the Extreme E racing series event, there are ten other electric and hybrid cars available in-game to choose from. While none of these EVs are pretty affordably priced, with the Ferrari LaFerrari being one of the most expensive cars, we would suggest jumping into one of the Extreme E vehicles, the 2022 Extreme E #99 Chip Ganassi Racing GMC Hummer EV, for 700,000 Credits.

Once you have an EV in your garage, you'll need to solve the first clue by smashing it into five carts using your EV to unlock the next clue. Tracking carts can be tricky if you know where to look, but we recommend heading to the Guanajuato area and looking for an open market space near the Tunnel Run Street Racing event.

There's another location in Mulegé in the city center where you can find more carts. Try not to crash into nearby structures while crashing and only hit the cart as you can lose the Skill Multiplier, so cool down between smashes for the skill to be checked.

With five carts smashed, the next clue will unlock, which reads, "Find the treasure!" and an area will be highlighted on the Horizon Festival map. This area is on the eastern side north of the Playa Azul location.

The challenge image from the Festival Playlist menu will give you a visual clue where to look. Head to the beachfront and find the wooden boat from the image beyond the wooden beams to find and smash the hidden treasure chest partially submerged.

Forza Horizon 5 Tropical Fruits Treasure Hunt – Rewards

After solving both clues and locating the treasure chest, this will complete the Tropical Fruits Treasure Hunt challenge in Forza Horizon 5. Completing this festival challenge will award you 100 Festival Forzathon Points and three Playlist Points.

Additionally, you can achieve several of the season's Daily Challenges if you drove an Extreme E vehicle during this challenge to earn 10 Forzathon Points and one Playlist Point for each challenge. This includes the following Daily Challenges:

  • Electrify!: Visit the Playa Azul area to start the Extreme E Island Week event.
  • Future is Now: Own and drive any fully electric vehicle (EV) around the Horizon Festival.
  • Now You're Torquing: Reach 150mph in any Extreme E electric vehicle (EV).
