Developer miHoYo unleashed the Genshin Impact 2.3 update, bringing in new events, weapons, characters, enemies and more into the ever-expanding world on 24th November 2021. While we've already covered the redeem codes for the 2.3 update, some might be wondering exactly how many Primogems they can earn before update 2.4 gets released.
As the premium currency, Primogems are something all Travellers would want to acquire. With the Genshin Impact 2.3 update lasting approximately 42 days, Travellers can get thousands of Primogems, and even more if they boast the paid version of the battle pass.
How many free Primogems can you get in 2.3?
Thanks to Hoyolab moderator BanSugar, some intricate calculations have been made in order to answer the burning question of how many Primogems players can get throughout the 42 days of the Genshin Impact 2.3 update.
BanSugar took into account all aspects of the Genshin Impact 2.3 update to reach an educated guess as to how many free Primogems players can get.
The detailed guide 10 ways of getting Primogems throughout the Genshin Impact 2.3 update. Check these out below:
- Daily Commissions
- Stardust Exchange
- Spiral Abyss clears
- Sacred Sakura's Favor
- New Achievements
- Character Test Run
- Four new events
- Hangout Events
- Hoyolab daily check-in
- Game Update Compensation / V2.4 Redeem Code / Fix Bugs
Keep in mind this is an educated guess based on past updates and what we know so far about the latest Genshin Impact patch.
With that in mind, free-to-play users, according to BanSugar, can get a total of 7,740 Primogems during Genshin Impact 2.3.
Those who open their wallets for the paid battle pass can get 12,200 Primogems before update 2.4 releases.
Keep in mind calculation is based on the fact that Fates can be traded for Wishes, otherwise, players would have to spend 160 Primogems per Wish. Genesis Crystal from purchasing Welkin Moon is not included in the calculations.
So there you have it, the amount of free Primogems Genshin Impact players can earn throughout the 2.3 update.
This is a calculation based on what is known so far, and developer miHoYo could always add more, for example, additional web events to increase the total amount of free Primogems.
