Genshin Impact 2.5 update is set to release on 16th February and will be bringing brand new characters, events, weapons, enemies and more into the game, along with a bunch of optimizations. 

It will also be available for pre-installation a couple of days before the patch gets available to download the game files in advance. miHoYo will be taking the game servers down for maintenance for a few hours before pushing the Genshin Impact 2.5 update. 

During this time, you will not be able to play the game, so make sure that you complete all of your quests and events before the maintenance begins. Here are the complete details about it.

As of now, miHoYo has not revealed the Genshin Impact 2.5 update's maintenance schedule. However, based on the previous patterns, it will begin on 16th February at 06:00 (UTC+8) and will last for about five hours.

In order to compensate for this downtime, miHoYo will also be offering 300 Primogems for maintenance and issue fix each. Players who reach Adventure Rank 5 or above before the Genshin Impact 2.5 update maintenance starts will be eligible for this reward.

 

These free Primogems will be sent to the Travelers via the in-game mail within 5 hours after the update gets available. Players should claim the compensation mail before 18th February while it will be valid for 30 days, so make sure you collect your free Primogems in time.

You can use these Primogems to wish for Yae Miko, Raiden Shogun, Kagura’s Verity or any other characters, weapons. In addition to this, you can also use them to buy Hero's Wit, Mora, character outfits and more in the game.
