Genshin Impact 2.6 update – New events, story quests and more

Update: On 28th Match 2022, HoYoverse released the patch notes for the 2.6 update outlining a few new World Quests set around The Chasm. This includes a few quest chains and various other activities to provide Travelers with more insight into the cavernous location.

The Genshin Impact 2.6 Special Program livestream featured several exciting new events and intriguing Story Quests that Travelers can look forward to playing, offering ample opportunities to earn unique rewards.

Although these events are available for a limited time, they will surely keep things fun and exciting for all venturing through Teyvat. We have shared all the events and Story Quests announced in the livestream that will be arriving in the 2.6 update for Genshin Impact.

All Genshin Impact 2.6 update events

Developer HoYoverse announced exciting new events Travelers could look forward to participating in when the 2.6 update launches on 30th March 2022. After completing these events, several rewards await you, including Primogems, Mora, and more.

Hues of the Violet Garden

The main in-game event, Hues of a Violet Garden, places the Inazuman Irodori Festival in the limelight, featuring familiar Genshin Impact characters and possibly a surprise or more.

Hosted by the Yashiro Commission and the Shrine Maiden, Yae Miko, the festival celebrates culture and arts with plenty of fascinating tales to share and experience. Notably, Travelers can partake in four "festival games" throughout the event, each with their key objectives to complete.

The Moon and Stars Inscribe is a photography game where Travelers assist a bard from Mondstadt seeking inspiration from the lush landscapes of Inazuma. You can take pictures of the landscapes through various clues and themes before submitting them to the Commissioner.

Theater Mechanicus: Stage of Brilliance is a new take of this event for the Irodori Festival, where every stage possesses new features that Travelers must implement to complete each challenge. Before starting a new stage, you'll need to equip Wondrous Sticks, and upon entering, there are new mechanics already installed, which you can either destroy or modify.

Clash of Lone Blades is the sword-fighting festival game whereby Travelers can unlock daily to challenge a different swordmaster and combat its unique skill sets. You won't be allowed to use any Elemental Skills and Bursts during the festival game; however, a parrying mechanic will be available.

The Floral Courtyard is an Ikebana game where you'll need to create floral courtyards based on specific themes from a local florist. Each courtyard comes with various elements and materials to use in your design which, when completed, they can use the courtyard and place within their Serenitea Pot.

After completing the festival games and meeting the various prerequisites, you can invite Xingqiu for free to their party. The rewards you can collect from the event page upon completing the festival events include the following:

• Talent Level-Up Materials
• Mystic Enhancement Ore

Spices From the West

A visitor from the Sumeru region requires your assistance in a brand new cooking event, Spices From the West. Arriving at Inazuma to research seasonings and flavours, Travelers will need to create seasoning combinations based on recipes and through taste tests, you can use these seasonings in various dishes.

New seasoning recipes will be made available, with all recipes unlocked before the event's conclusion. Travelers must follow the instructions and use the slider to match the corresponding ingredients to make these seasonings.

There's a limit on the number of mistakes you can make, which you'll need to watch. Furthermore, adding seasonings to dishes can create fragrant dishes in which you can invite various characters to your Serenitea Pot to try.

Do keep in mind the various taste preferences of each character, and in doing so, this will increase your Companionship XP. The rewards you can collect from the event page upon completing the event include the following:

Vibro-Crystal Research

A new challenge event is arriving in the 2.6 update, where Travelers will be introduced to a researcher from Fontaine. This researcher is studying the "harmonic motion" within gems called Vibro-Crystals found at The Chasm.

Using the Transmitter and Receiver Crystals produces varying effects to defeat enemies and bosses during the event. In addition, they can obtain various combat buffs, which through Transmitter Crystals can control these buffs and activate them if the conditions have been met with Receiver Crystals.

Every challenge is divided into two battles, for which you need to compose two battle teams and Vibro-Crystals setups to participate. There will be Trail Characters available for you to assemble your teams, which defeating enemies award points and, based on your scores, give you an insignia.

Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens

An Inazuman artist has called upon the Traveler to accept her commission by capturing landscapes throughout Teyvat as inspiration for her drawings. She'll provide notes within the photo album to provide more insight into the requirements outlined and snap up a photograph.

All Genshin Impact 2.6 update quests

Alongside the exciting events Travelers can participate in, the 2.6 update includes new quests to enjoy. Story quests often provide insight into the Traveler's interactions with various playable characters, and the latest story quests are no different.

Kamisato Ayato is receiving a new Story Quest, Cypressus Custos Chapter 1: Act 1 in the 2.6 update for Travelers to enjoy playing. This Story Quest chapter explores the new era of Inazuma due to the Sakoku Decree being lifted, with the dawning of progress ushered in.

There's trouble brewing behind the scenes as the Tenryou and Kanjou Commissions are honoured at a momentous event. With Ayato being the head of the Yashiro Commission, he will investigate this matter and uncover its secrets in light of this joyous occasion.

Lastly, the 2.6 update also includes a new Archon Quest to play through that delves deeper into the mysteries of The Chasm. The new Archon Quest, Requiem of the Echoing Depths, sees the return of Dainsleif as they investigate various ruins found in the underground sections of this cavernous area.
