Genshin Impact Lantern Rite guide: All That Glitters, Festive Fever, Xiao Market and more

After several days of waiting after miHoYo released all the details of its latest update v1.3, it is time to prepare for the Lantern Rite.

Now players have all the information related to this long-awaited event, so here we bring you all the details of what awaits you in the biggest Genshin Impact celebration so far.

The Lantern Rite event will consist of four sections, each of these leading to bigger challenges around Liyue, and above all, bigger rewards.

Before you can be part of the event, you must have met the following requirements:

• Reach Adventure Rank 23 or higher.
• Complete Chapter I: Act I "Of the Land Amidst Monoliths."
• Completed Xiao's story quest: "Alatus Chapter", which will be activated after completing the quest "Of the Land Amidst Monoliths."

It is important to note that it will not be necessary to consume Original Resin to participate, so players can fully enjoy everything without spending too many resources.

Once you complete this, you will be able to access the first section of the event, known as All That Glitters.

Lantern Rite: All That Glitters

All That Glitters will be the main plot of the event, as it is divided into the characteristic three acts:

• Act I "The Origin of the Lanterns": Available from 10-28th February
• Act II "Currents Deep Beneath the Lanterns": Available from 14-28th February
• Act III "Light Upon the Sea": Available from 18-28th February

By completing each of these missions, you will be able to obtain Primogems, Hero's Wit, Mora, and other rewards. You can check your progress through the Lantern Rite event page or the Quest interface.

As you complete these, you can unlock the next section of the Lantern Rite, with the second of these being the Lantern Rite Tales.

Lantern Rite Tales

In "Lantern Rite Tales", players will be able to accept citizen requests obtain rewards such as Primogems, Mora and Festive Fever, only once these requests have been completed.

These Tales are divided into three stages, which will be unlocked by accumulating Festive Fever and completing the main missions from "All That Glitters".

We must emphasize that once the event period ends on 28th February, it will not be possible to complete citizen requests.

Speaking of the Festive Fever, this "currency" will increase by completing the Tales and the main missions from All That Glitters.

Upon reaching a certain level of Festive Fever, this will unlock more "Lantern Rite Tales", and the third section of the event, "Theater Mechanicus".

Lantern Rite: Theater Mechanicus

As part of the new event, a new challenging mini-game will be available, known as the "Theater Mechanicus". Entering this will transport players to a special stage similar to the dungeons on the map.

Each game in the "Theater Mechanicus" will be divided into several rounds of challenges. In each of them, different monsters will advance from a purple portal and continue advancing along the path you will visualize when entering, trying to reach the blue portal to escape.

The main objective of the "Theater Mechanicus" is to use all possible means to defeat all monsters and prevent them from escaping, using magic mechanisms in the locations you consider appropriate, to inflict damage to the monsters and eliminate them.

Once you exterminate the required amount of monsters within the indicated conditions, you will complete the challenge, with which you will obtain a certain amount of Peace Talismans, which will be exchangeable in the Xiao Market for rewards.

Lantern Rite: Xiao Market

The Xiao Market will be divided into three stages, that will open on the first, fifth and ninth day of the event respectively.

Within the Market you can get rewards, including the name card style "Celebration: Lantern-Light," Character Enhancement Materials, Hero's Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Talent Level-Up Materials, the Crown of Insight, and more.

In addition, each time you manage to increase your level of Festive Fever, you will be able to obtain better rewards in exchange for your Peace Talismans, the most important being the mission "Stand by Me".

Upon reaching the maximum level of Festive Fever, players will have the great opportunity to exchange 1000 Peace Talismans for a four-star character from Liyue.
