The Oathsworn Eye is one of two new weapons announced for the forthcoming Genshin Impact 2.5 update, "When the Sakura Bloom". Followingly, this seashell-shaped catalyst will be a 4-star weapon obtained through a new in-game event also included in the update.
The other weapon is the five-star Kagura's Verity, which should bring much excitement and delight to catalyst wielders. But this guide will focus on the Oathsworn Eye, including how to obtain it, its weapon stats and abilities, ascension materials and more.
What is Oathsworn Eye in Genshin Impact?
The Oathsworn Eye is a 4-star catalyst whose origin is shrouded in some mystery. However, it is thought to be connected to Enkanomiya. While we can expect to learn more about the weapon in the 2.5 update, miHoYo has provided some knowledge about its unique abilities and history.
Hello Travelers! Today, Paimon wants to introduce you to the brand-new weapons that will be appearing in Version 2.5 Wishes! Let's take a look~— Genshin Impact (@GenshinImpact) February 13, 2022

The game's official in-game description tells of how the weapon became the pride and glory of Enakanomiya or Byakuyakoku.
It reads, "A national treasure of Byakuyakoku stored in the Dainichi Mikoshi. With the coming of the Serpent God, this item was used to notarize great oaths and wishes."
What are the Oathsworn Eye's weapon stats and abilities?
- Rarity: 4-star
- ATK: 44-565
- Secondary Stat: 6% - 27.6% ATK
The Oathsworn Eye is a 4-star catalyst that offers an ATK base and substats at Level 1. However, it significantly improves both stats when it ascends to Level 90, boasting 565 base ATK stat and 27.6% ATK substat.
The catalyst's passive, People of the Faltering Light, sees Energy Recharge increasing after using an Elemental Skill by 24% for 10 seconds. The passive is pretty simple to understand; however, the passive's damage output doesn't increase when using the weapon.
Naturally, through Weapon Refinement, which boosts the weapon's passive, the Energy Recharge will increase the Elemental Skill by 48% for 10 seconds. The weapon's stats remain the same when at Level 90.
Much like the Kagura's Verity, Yae Miko would be a great character to equip the weapon due to her Elemental Skills and Burst consuming plenty of energy. On the other hand, many believe it would best suit Kokomi, who will make the most of the weapon together with her passive.
